LANSING, MI — Neighbors are being hailed as heroes for rescuing two people from a deadly house fire in Lansing. The fire broke out yesterday morning along Rulison Street.
Fire officials say neighbors helped rescue two of the residents who were trapped in the burning home before firefighters arrived. However, one of the residents did not make it out and died in the fire. The Monday morning fire also damaged two neighboring homes.
The victim’s name hasn’t been released. There’s no word on what caused the fire.
