EAST LANSING, MI — A suffocating defensive effort helped Michigan State men’s basketball top in-state rival Oakland 79-62 Monday night at the Breslin Center.
The Spartans used a balanced offensive attack with seven MSU plyers scoring seven points or more. The Spartans were led by Tyson Walker’s 14 points. A.J. Hoggard and Jaden Akens added 11 points each.
The Spartans now improve their record to 6-5 and next play Stony Brook on Thursday night at the Breslin Center at 6:30 p.m. Tickets remain for that game.
