LANSING, MI — Fenner Conservancy in Lansing is expanding its early childhood education offerings with the launch of Fenner Nature Preschool at Maple Grove, a new extension of Fenner Nature Preschool, which first began at Sycamore Creek.
Fenner Nature Preschool at Maple Grove will be Michigan’s first licensed fully outdoor preschool. Located on Fenner Nature Center’s 134-acre property, the program offers young learners a unique opportunity to spend their school days immersed entirely in nature through exploration, play, and discovery.
Fenner Nature Preschool’s child-led curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and designed to support children through open-ended provocations, collaborative exploration, and meaningful outdoor experiences. At Maple Grove, students will attend year-round, learning directly from their environment while developing socially and academically.
Enrollment applications are now open for both Summer 2026 and Fall 2026–27 Maple Grove programs. Full-time and part-time options are available for children ages 3-6. Learn more at www.mynaturecenter.org.
