LANSING, MI — Downtown Lansing will premiere Downtown After 5 next week. It’s a special evening of shopping and dining in the Capital City. This year’s first event night is Thursday June 18.
Held on the third Thursday of each month from June through August, Downtown After 5 invites residents and visitors to explore downtown while retailers and restaurants extend their hours and offer a welcoming evening experience, according to a press release. Over 25 participating businesses have signed on.
Shoppers can enjoy late-night browsing, live music outside Nelson Gallery and along the riverfront with the Grand Concert Series, outdoor patios, dining specials, pop-up activities, and the “lively energy” of downtown during the summer months.
“Downtown After 5 is about creating an inviting atmosphere where people can experience everything our downtown has to offer, into the evening,” said Cathleen Edgerly, Executive Director of Downtown Lansing Inc.
She continued: “It’s an opportunity for businesses to connect with the community while encouraging folks to spend time downtown in a fun and relaxed setting.”
