LANSING, MI — WILX TV 10 in Lansing is reporting the city of Lansing has launched a new parking pilot program that gives drivers 15 minutes of free parking in the downtown and Old Town areas.
Mayor Any Schor confirmed this week that drivers now can select a free option on a parking app or kiosk to access the 15-minute window without charge.
In addition, parking rules will now be enforced from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays only, according to WILX. Drivers who receive a ticket can also receive a reduced fee if they pay before midnight on the day the citation is issued.
