LANSING, MI — The Lansing State Journal announced this week it is leaving its downtown home at the Knapps Center to a new location east of downtown. The Lansing-based newspaper will relocate to the Marshall Street Armory on East Saginaw Street near Lansing Eastern High School.
In their announcement, LSJ executives said the Marshall Street Armory fit the newspaper’s office space needs and the location between the Capitol and MSU was an important aspect of the move.
The LSJ operated for 65 years in a building at Lenawee Street and Grand Avenue in downtown Lansing. It later moved to the Knapps Center in the restored former department store.
