NILES, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Niles police say the bodies of two women have been found in a submerged vehicle in the St. Joseph River and their clothing matches the description of two South Bend mothers.
Vanessa Bautista and Alexa Navarro were reported missing Sunday after going out together Saturday night.
The two were in a gray 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and their last known location was near 6th Street in Niles Sunday morning between 3 and 4 a.m.
Positive identification is pending.
